Middle East Electricity 2018, the show go on.

The Middle East Electricity of Dubai has successfully concluded, the long awaited event, punctual every year with its record numbers:

178 Exhibitors
Over 15,000 square meters dedicated
27 countries
These data, provisional pending the official 2018 report, refer to the Power Generation sector where MEE devotes a sector reserved only to Builders and Companies related to the generation of energy from conventional fuels.

The question after every MEE is always the same: “What’s new from previous editions?”.

The technical innovations regarding power generators are less  and when they are there they seem to scream at a deaf market!

Massive and constant the presence of the Italian Generators manufacturers , grappling with the increasingly fierce UK presence, and by the now irreducible rise of builders in Eastern Europe.

The impact of the Spanish is weak, while the Portuguese one by Grupel is on the rise, thanks to the results and the numbers collected in the last few years.

The similarity of Design is singular among the generators exhibited by the Chinese Generators companies and those exhibited by some UK, in an ambiguous system in which it is not clear who produces “what” and above all “where”. Made in … ???

The French SDMO, unlike the previous years, highlights the improvements in terms of design and care of the finish, while FG Wilson does not hazard important updates such as to talk about itself.

Among the Italians, always present and technically active Onis Visa, the company from Fontanelle (TV) arrives in Dubai with an interesting solution for extreme applications (Desert), while Pramac, backed by its sister Generac, exhibits a wide range of samples for different applications.

Interestingly, some companies are becoming more and more determined on the international scene, in particular, Orefice Generators, which has exhibited its ultracompact and silent generator in a new stand and Ned, which presents two exhibition spaces, one of which is external, where has exposed its flagship products to the reach of visitors.

CGM Generators and Green Power Generators could not be missing, now veterans of the Middle East and a certainty in the Gulf market and beyond.

(We are not aware of the news of Sicilian companies regarding Hibryd Solutions, given their lack of support for our cause …).

Among the producers of Diesel Engines, the presence of Baudouin is interesting this year. The French brand celebrated the centenary in Dubai, presenting the range of engines for the powergen and making good talk about itself.

FPT, which in this edition shows the muscles with a coverage of applications on generators present at MEE over 40%, presented the new generation of StageV engines for generator sets, using the patented HI-eSCR2 system, already used in other applications, but adapted in such a way as not to change the layout of the generator, ie maintaining the same dimensions as an unemotional or stage III.

Among the Alternators stands out the new range Mecc Alte, C-Type, an evolution of the series, which stands out for interior design and exterior that promises to rewrite the rules of the industry.

See you at the next Middle East Electricity, scheduled in Dubai from 5 to 7 March 2019.
